There's a problem occurring when they call me all calls go to loud speaker for a few seconds before going back to normal also sound/can't hear the caller. This lasts for approx 15secs then it starts working ie connected and can hear the caller. Also the ringer is not working in some of the calls and it all goes back to normal when I restart the phone until after a few calls the problem reappears. Apparently some app is interfering but can someone help me identify it? Or for a solution thanks
Gu @Georgespencerbrown, welcome to the community. That's really strange
Start by ressting the phone app. You can do this by going to Settings > Apps > Phone > Storage > Clear Data.
If it continues to happen please test it in safe mode.
Under the section apps there's no phone option. Where can I go to reset it? There are more issues with the phone app which I haven't mentioned yet
I cleared the data and now I have to wait and see if it's fixed
The problem is still there
Thank you Cameron for answering. I haven't tried the safe mode yet as it's hard to do and to test the phone. What I did though was to change the administration setting USB debugging on. I read somewhere that it can solve the issue and so far the phone is ringing but I'm not sure if all the issues are solved. I'll keep you updated and if you know anything about debugging please enlighten me
It's interesting that USB debugging brings back the ringtone.
Safe mode only needs to be used as a test, it's not something you need to keep your phone in. What it does is isolate the phone from third party applications which may be causing the issue. Please test it in safe mode if you get a chance.
In another post they give a link for the same problem to uninstall an app that is causing the problem but when I click the link it says it's not available in my country so its definitely an app causing the problem I just don't know how to identify it. Can you help with that?
If the problem is recent and you’re not sure which application is causing the problem, you can start by uninstalling the most recently downloaded one and work your way back.
