I bought this phone and was happy until the battery went dead, got it fixed at Sony.
The phone came back and now startede on earth, yep, Sony support and repair center big time.
My phone now starts to overheat when I open the camera app.
1. I open the camera and some functions is disabled right away, to warm allready and after 2-5 pictures it closes down
2. I take 1-5 pictures, fuctions are disabled, I take 5-10 pictures more and it closes the app.
This also causes lagging, very slow phone, very warm front and back and a camera that does not work until a cooling periode off minimum 5-15 minutes.
Phone also tells me device is to warm and shuts it down, it also restarts randomly, video is stuttering and closes down cause of heat
Google Maps also heats up the phone and navigating is impossible cause of lacking.
Phone calls is also impossible, it takes up to 3-4 seconds befor the dialer app opens.
Apps takes forever to open when warm.
Graphic error is also present.
Phone neede to be shutdown for at least 15 minutes to cool off.
Everything was documented, filmed and photos was send to the Sony dealer.
I was asked by Sony support to make an costumer complaint, so I did, and Sony rejected it, the phone was ok.
3 times was the phone sent to Sony and one time they claimed it was ok, then they changed Camera 2 times, Battery times 2 and the mainbord 2 times, the USB connection and the jackstick.
The phone was ok, well why the repairs??
It was faulty and unfortunalty I have heard that overheating is a big problem on this phone.
Then came Oreo and this made the phone very very slow and the problems very stille there.
I tried software repair, factory reset, safe mode and nothing helped me.
So the questions remains, why did Sony not just take the phone back insted off trying to repair it so many times and why did the repair center not locate these faults, which are easy to see, just open the camera and the phone dies.
This is lousy and I am very dissapointed.
But I got a new phone, XZ1, yes a Sony and it works like a charm, no heating or lacking.
