Original earphone is not working

my handset is xperia xz2 H8216 and my original earphones are not working. the sound comes from handset speakers even after the earphones are connected

have you tested a different pair of headphones? did the headphones ever worked ok with your phone?

i have bought this phone yesterday only. this original earphone is working with other phones but not with this one

i am using adopter with original sony earphones

was the adapter provided by Sony or is it a third party dongle? 

have you tested a different pair of headphones? 

have you restarted the phone?

this is a sony provided adapter

and it is not working with any earphone

I'm really sorry to hear that, you will have to contact Sony directly, maybe they gave you a defective adapter
