Notification size XZ2

I have a Sony Xperia xz2, and I'm having an issue.
I like to play games, but every time I get a message or an email the notification takes up half of my screen, which is very annoying! Is there a way to still have it show notifications, but smaller or less detailed? I don't want to turn them off completely!

There is a way to change the size of items on your screen such as the pop up notifications you speak of without turning them off completely. Do note though that this will change the displaying size system wide, so the layout on the phone may look a bit different. To do this, find and tap Settings > Accessibility > Display size.
