i am using a high priced samsung pro plus 128gb micro sd card. this is the one i used before in the z5 compact and in the x performance. never had a problem. now, in the XZs, when starting the camera, it sometimes said: unable to detect sdcard. when i close the camera-app and reopen it, it will work. what can i do? i tried the card in my z5compact to make sure there isnt any failure with the sdcard - the z5c is managing well as always.

i think the problem is solved. with the new software 41.2.a.7.35 no more errors with sd card so far.
Hi @Georgge,
Try backing up your SD card then reformatting it inside the XZs.
You can do this under Settings > Storage > 3 dots > Advanced > Storage > SD Card > 3 dots > Settings > Format.
My card is Toshiba 128GB, I've got exactly the same problem also. It is like once in every 10 times, I will get SD card error when I open the camera app. Don't think it is related to the formatting of the card. Bought it new and formatted by XZs.
Thanks for the advise. I did as you suggested, so far no more problems. If a problem will occur sometimes later, I will give a notice here.
alright, i m very sad to say that it just happened again. like 3 days without any problems, it just occured that when opening the camera - app it says: sd card is not available. after closing the app and restarting, it works. too bad when i need the camera quickly for shooting a picture.
can you try to boot to safe mode?
try to reformat your sd card using a desktop comp. fat32
as for the device. try to clear camera cache
settings>apps>show system>clear data restart your device
if still fails. try to perform software repair using Xperia Companion
Cleared cache and data, got the same SD card error sometimes.
exactly, clearing the cache doesnt help at all.....same here.
i tried another sd card. this time samsung pro 64gb. same problem. as i mentioned, my z5C is handling both without problems. very interesting. i could do a software repair, but i m wondering...my device is only 3 weeks old....what to repair
