Media Sounds

Since I loaded the latest update my media sounds work sometimes and sometimes not. The volume is turned up on all Settings. 

It has worked perfectly until the update.

Does it work when you are in safe mode?

Try to run Xperia Tests in settings> system

Have almost same problem, after adroid Pie 9, I can't turn on the headphones, the sounds of music are turning off and it doesn't react on my signals. 🤷🏼‍♀️
