I've recently updated my xz3 but now when I get a message come through it doesn't show on the lock screen and the notification light doesn't display either. This did show before the update. 

I've checked my settings and they are all switched on as before the update

Hi @Daniel1975, let me see if I can help out here!

Have you tried clearing the data for the messages app? This will not erase any previously received messages, but it will reset all settings for the app which might do the trick. Find and tap Settings > Apps & notifications > See all XX apps > Messages > Storage > Clear data > Tap "OK" > Restart the phone.

Try this and let me know how it goes!

Hi

I've tried this but still doesn't work, I've also noticed that when a message comes through I no longer get the text alert sound ie beep beep. All was fine before this last update

can you try if the same thing is happening while your phone is in safe mode ?

also try to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion

As @nolramlb mentioned, try safe mode in order to see if this is caused by a downloaded app. If the behaviour persist there it might be a good idea to repair the software. Keep in mind though that a software repair will erase all user data, so make sure to do a backup before the repair to prevent data loss.
