Latest software update wiped out my calendar

I have an XZ2 compact (H8314) [currently: phone software ver 1311-7916_52.0A.8.14, and customization ver 1313-0031_R9BXZ2] running Android 9 Pie [API level 28, security patch level 2019-03-01] and using AT&T provider. I received a software update for the phone the day before yesterday that seemed to work well, until I discovered my entire calendar has been wiped out.  Oh, come on, Sony!

Something else must have happened.

Never lost any data with an update.

Better take a look and maybe you can retrieve everything.

When you have a Google mail account then everything is backed up in normal circumstances.

Goto your computer and take a look there.

If you have set Google to not backup your data then you have run out of luck.
