Hi all,
I know that there has been a lot of replies about Oreo being distributed in phases across different regions and about the necessity to be patient, but this is ridiculous.
My phone is XZs dual (model number: G8232, compilation number: 41.2.A.7.76). I am still stuck on Android Nougat 7.1.1 with October security patches. So something is not right here...
My phone shows that it is up to date both in OTA update menu in Settings as well as through Xperia Companion. I have tried switching SIM cards, repairing firmware through Xperia Companion and reverting the phone to factory settings. All to no avail.
Even if I still need to wait for Oreo, then shouldn't I get the November and December (if not even January) patches?

Software updates are released at different times depending on the operator, market, region or country. Therefore, we cannot give you an exact date for when a specific update will be available for your device. In addition, network operators and specific markets may choose not to avail of the updates for specific models.
Once the update is customised by Sony it would then be passed on to the service providers to make any required adjustments for their network.
Please be aware that if your handset has originated outside your region this can also cause a delay in the release.
Once the software is ready to be downloaded on your unit, you will receive a notification on your phone advising of the option to update.

When will Sony Hong Kong users get Oreo, I am not getting any updates since October.

As mentioned in my post above, I am afraid we cannot give you an exact date for when a specific update will be available for your device.
