Yesterday I got a notfication that a system update is available for my XZ. I choosed to install it over night but this morning I found my smartphone in a bootloop. The screen is black, then it boots, it follows the Sony sign, the Android logo and then the Xperia sign. Then the screen goes black again and it starts all over. I can turn the phone off completely by pressing the power button and volume up, but if I try to turn it on again, the bootloop starts immediately again.
I looked for common solutions for similar problems and tried to use the Xperia Companion to repair the software but my phone is not registered. Then I tried a factory reset by pressing the power button and volume up when its turned off to get access to the recovery mode, but the phone only vibrates a few times, nothing more happens.
Additionally, I tried all of that after taking out my SIM card again, results remain the same. Therefore I want to ask if any one of you has some ideas?
Any ideas
Same problem, please help him.
Hello, I had exactly the same problem.
I solved it with the Sony Companion software.
Switch your phone off. Press and hold Volume - and switch it on.
Release Power Button but still hold Vol - WHILE you connect the phone to the USB Port of your Windows Computer.
Initiate software repair - your phone will get Factory Settings.
Isn't work with me... bootloop still hapen. My pc doesn't accept my phone.
Is Sony Companion running when you connect it? What is your Windows version?
Sony Companion is running, i'm on latest version of windows 10 (i've try with another computer on windows 10 creator update) and my pc doesn't recognize my phone
Okay Mister - I think it wasn't my solution (I don't remember wich of the 100 tries successed yesterday)
