Goodbye Sony

Goodbye Sony

I got fed up by Apple when i had the iPhone 4 and got an XPeria Z1 Compact (the old one) and i loved it ! - i loved the side-charger, the charging stand and the design.

It broke down on me and i purchased a Z3 Compact and loved it ! - so much that i repaired the screen several time, changed the battery, repaired it over and over again with spare parts from eBay. until i just gave up on it after 2 years.

So i upgraded to the Z5 Compact which i absolutely loved from day 1.

My first Z5 completely shattered after 2 weeks and i purhcased a new the day after because i REALLY wanted this phone !

EVERYTHING about this phone is just perfect for me, the size, the speed, the stunning image quality, the blazingly good anti-shake and the powerfull stereo speakers, waterresistant to 1+ meters!!.

My main beef with the Z5 has always been software and the Bluetooth, you almost fixed it with 7.1.1 but then YOU gave up on me by not releasing Android 8 😞

The audio quality was horrible since Android 5 or 6 and lack of control of EQ has driven me nuts.. but everything else just worked perfectly. ...

After 2.5 years with the Z5 Compact, you have release worse and worse phones. Terrible cameras in all of them, terrible design desitions.. latest with a round back (WHY?) .. and then you abandoned the Minijack that i have used so many times making yourself irrelevant in the competition.

My Z5C broke down because the microphone crackled .. so i've been borrowing my dads iPhone 7.

and after 2 weeks im now given in, and have ordered an iPhone 8.

iPhone just wrecks the competition in respect to Bluetooth connectivety, Podcasting, Backup and more. Image quality is more than acceptible and haven't given in to the pixel race (so far) - i dont want 20MPix when 12 is just fine. Sound quality from the built in speakers are amazing - although i hate the output from the bottom which is easily blocked.

but anyways - Sony - you lost me, and every other Engineering-example of Androids with all their quirks. You where my favorite for the past 5+ years.. but not this time.

so long for now.

Android to iPhone can be a challenge in itself with iOS limitations and restrictions set by apple, good luck.

From the years when Sony released the Z3 to very recently until releasing XZ2, they were on a steep financial decline. Many of their products were downgraded, materials, software and the list goes on. It was a matter of cutting costs while trying to achieve a turn around. Well the turn around is currently happening with Sony's finances being at record high. And their products are really worth again. I would seriously reccomend you try their latest XZ3. It is a multi-media beast.

Funny this. I just came on here to post the same thing. Goodbye Sony. My ps3 and the issues with the XZ3 have just done me in.

I'm buying an xbox1... My 2 tv's and 2 surround sounds are up for sale, I've taken my car stereo out and put in a kenwood (the bass is so much better truthfully.) And I've sold my Vaio.

I'm done....

The bonus about the xbox is I can still play Skyrim and I can play The Witcher too. Happy days....  My Xz3 will be up for sale soon though I'm not sure what I will go for next (I'm thinking Sony's biggest rival truthfully.

I will come back once I'm done to give a total figure on what I've spent on the products just so Sony realise how much they have potentially lost.

The XZ3...  Not so good.... There are certainly better devices out there. I'm already starting to get lag, keypad is starting to just not appear. Watching YouTube and wanting to skip a section is frustrating due to the curved screen. Picking up the device the side sense makes the device go back like a back button. The fingerprint sensor on the back is just undeniably stupid especially when you have the phone in a phone holder in your car. It's the little things. The style cover touch phone case was overpriced and is honestly a waste of money.

What happened to this company....

I fear they are crashing and burning and simply are too egotistical to listen to their  customers.

A case of too little, too late. Good riddance. I'm done.
