Files keeps stopping message

Hi, I am having a problem with accessing a built in app on my phone, it's the blue files app, so far I've tried clearing the cache, deleting app data and also resetting my phone. Resetting my phone did seem to work, up until the point of all apps being reinstalled with my original settings from my backup, then it stopped working again, I can access files through other programs I know that, but sometimes I only get the option to use the files program, the error I get is "files keeps stopping"

Sounds like an installed app is the cause of the problem or something is corrupting the data. 

If your using another programe to access your file (EZ app etc) then maybe remove those and clear the cache and data again and retest?

I have contacted Sony support as well and they have said basically the same as you have, they told me to start the phone in safe mode and see if the problem was still there, which it isn't, so they have said it must be an app causing it so I deleted file type apps that I had on phone and cleared cache and stopped program, but hasn't fixed it yet, so I am busy uninstalling as much as I can to see if I can get to bottom of problem, thanks for help, I'll let you know how I get on
