No and yes. If I try to edit a contact most of them show up 2,3,4 or 5 times, but they do not show up like yours do in my Contacts App.
I did have a problem like your one with another phone last year where the duplicates were showing up in my Contacts App and when I was looking for a number to dial, and I could not delete any of the duplicates.
I worked out that it was Whatsapp that was causing the problem. I Uninstalled Whatsapp after clearing its data, restarted my phone and I was able to delete all the duplicates. I decided then that I could live without Whatsapp and I have not had any problems since.
It may be that if you have any social media apps installed, or anything else that has access to your Contacts, then they could be causing the problem.
