Dualshock 4 lag =(

Dear Everyone,

About week ago I bought a XZ1 compact. The problem is with PS4 controller Slightly_frowning_Face
Previously I had Z5 compact and no problems.

Description of problem: A lag occures every 5 seconds for less then 1 second when connected via bluetooth to PS4 controller (model 2). I haven't tried connecting Dualshock via OTG cable (because I don't have one) and I want to play wirelessly. Problem occures not only in games / emulators, but also when you are at main screen and can switch between the icons.

For example: When I am at main screen I am switching every 0.5 second between 2 icons by using D-Pad buttons. Approximately every 4 or 5 seconds controller stops responding for 0.5 second and then again starts working ok. Intresting moment that it doesn't disconnect, it is a lag. And I got no idea why does it occur on my brand new phone.

I still have Z5 compact (haven't sold it yet) and I compared a quality of connection between Z5 compact and XZ1 compact. Z5 compact runs dualshock 4 without any problems, no lags at all.

I tried different variations of trying to solve the problem, but nothing helped: reset dualshock (by pressing and holding small button hidden inside dualshock), charged on 100% controller and phone, restarted phone, factory reset of phone, turned off wifi and apps that may interfere bluetooth, connected to dualshock by the steps described in phone menu. And nothing.

I am a retro gamer and one of the reasons why do I bought new XZ1 compact because it has flawless compitability with Sony PS4 controllers and doesn't require installation of apps or rooting the device to connect to dualshock and so it is perfect, small device for playing games with wireless controller. And now I am very disappointed. It is impossible to play games due to this lags Slightly_frowning_Face

Help please solve this problem.

Maybe try this? I dont have a ps4 controller, so i haven't tried it, but it looks like a possible solution.

I tried my friend's dualshock 4 (1st revision or model 1) and it works perfectly

Mine Dualshock 4 model 2 with XZ1c has lags. I have tested mine controller with PS4 console and it works fine.

I've just got a DualShock 4 controller (CUH-ZCT2U, so that looks like the second version) and tested input on Sonic 1 as well as "Fast like a Fox". I was not able to perceive any input lag on my XZ1 Compact running ancient 47.1.A.2.324 firmware version with default bluetooth settings. Is there any specific app you experience the lag with or that's all applications? Do you see lag in input on HTML5 Gamepad Tester too? What firmware are you running in what region?

pardon that I've been away for so long..

firmware 47.1.A.8.49 (recent update)
lags in emulators and everywhere

HTML5 Gamepad Tester - even here lags

I have noticed that lag appears only when I'm rapidly pressing buttons (any button), but when I'm just holding a button no problem.

and yeah...even first revision DS4 started gliching after the recent update. So the problem is certainly with the phone.

I even bought OTG USB adapter to play via usb cable 'cause I'm fed up with this lag...phone charges a dualshock and that's it Grinning_Face

When I plug dualshock to phone it gives me 4 option to choose what to do with a newly connected device. Tried all of them and nothing.
It doesn't want to work via cable Grinning_Face
That's very ironic. OTG USB adapter is good quality, tested flash drive, music DAC and worked ok...but gamepad... Grinning_Face
