Tried downloading and get message download pending, need help please

Hi @Carol53, welcome to our community!

This message will be shown if there are other downloads in progress and you will have to wait for them to finish before the download can start.

Are you trying to download an application from the Google Play store, or is it a for example, a document from a website?

If you go to Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps > 3 dots in the top right corner > Show system > tap on Download Manager > Force stop > Storage > Clear data > OK  and then try starting the download again.

And if that does not work, what can I do? 

All app updates stop at around 99% and never switch to Installing.

Hi @thommym, welcome to our forum!

In your case it sounds like the Google Play store is acting up, so go to Settings > Apps & notifications > See all xx apps > Google Play store > Storage > Clear data > OK.

Open up the Google Play store again and see if you are able to update the applications.
