Hi @57,
The Xperia XZ does not support USB OTG, it does however support the USB-host standard. This will allow you to connect a (for example) computer mouse to your phone using an OTG adapter cable.
Note that you will need an OTG adapter that supports USB-C for it to work with your Xperia XZ
Why ..?? i mean most of the mobile does support this feature right now, then why SONY don't think about it ..?? it should be a compulsory feature in a mobile device ...!!
How to use otg options?
Hi,
Just Connect your pen drive to Type-C adapter and connect your adapter to your XZ.
Then select "Detect USB device" and your device will be detected.
Cable used : Type-C Adapter
Hi
Yes..XPERIA XZ SUPPORTS OTG.
Just use a micro USB to USB type-C adapter if you are using a micro usb otg. Connect it to your XZ and Go to = Settings = Device Connectivity = USB connectivity = "DETECT USB DEVICE". That's it. It works fine for me
For me it did not work when using a USB OTG with microUSB.
I have a microUSB to Type C adapter... and an original SONY USB OTG cable that came with my old Xperia Z1 Compact. The OTG cable itself work for my wife's Xperia X, however I can't make it work with my XZ by using the adapter... and when I tap "Detect USB" it ended up the process without any detection... I tried with USB flash drives and with a mouse and keyboard....
I am not going to spend on such little cable again, since its currently my only USB type C device, so I will live without said functionality.
too bad...
I really hate that Sony takes many features over the years...
I wish Sony actually made their products work with each other for longer and had a cohesive vision.
So it will work with for example a SMSL IDOL+ USB DAC?

Just remove the tag, nobody keeps stickers on their phone..
