Hello..i am one of your xperia fans trying to tell about the problem his handphone gets after one week use...
The left (top) speaker is completely dead...
I have run everything including resetting the phone but nothing happens..
Don't ask me about diagnostics because i have run it so many times too...
Anyone here get the same problem as mine is pleased to comment below
Sony do you have any solution regarding this issue? Because that almost makes my phone useless..
Don't compel me to buy that XZ2 because this will be my last sony phone dude..
Hello,,,,no one can answer my question??
I've got the same problem. I've run the diagnostics tests in the phone and the top speaker (the earpiece speaker is just not working. I've reinstalled the software (a right b@llsache as the backup decided not to work once I'd reinstalled). Looks like a hardware problem. Phone has had no impacts or misuse, but from the fairly common posts on the web on this issue, I guess it is a weak spot.
I finally contacted Sony who have emailed to say initiate a warranty repair. Which is great - apart from the fact that their website won't let you start a warranty claim at the moment (it hangs on the country selection screen). It's apparently been like this for days. The chat support says there is nothing else they can do - there's no other way to start a warranty support claim.
So - earpiece still not working, phone now a bit messed up as all the apps and data aren't reinstalled properly and I can't start a warranty claim as the website is down. Getting a bit peeved here...
I've had the exact same on my XZ1 from about my 3rd day of owning it which was the 4th day of the phone being in circulation, i was one of the first people in the UK the raise concern about this fault and i was told to get lost basically, i took it into my local Vodafone shop for warranty repair as there are no Sony stores local to me and your service provider can carry out warranty repair or send to device for repairs, i had a to wait a week to get my phone back so in the mean time i was using my old faithful the Z3, i finally got the phone back and the minute i got out of the store and did my back up i got a phone call and low and behold the top speaker didn't work still so i went back to the store and they ran tests and came back and told me it was fine but yet still didn't work, I've now had the phone 10 months and now the vibration feature is intermittently not working and no body seems to want to do anything about it, customer satisfaction and support seems to mean nothing to Sony anymore and as someone who has had Sony phones for the last 12 years it is like banging your head against the wall and don't get me started on Vodafone, my current thinking is to start using my Z3 again and go back to O2, i will not be getting an XZ2 nor an XZ3 i shall stick with my Z3 yet another unsatisfied customer
