Copy & Paste impossible?

Hi!

My old phone is a Xperia Z1 Compact.

My new phone is a Xperia XZ2 Compact.

I want to Copy & Paste my whole WhatsApp profile via USB from my Z1 Compact onto my Laptop and from my Laptop onto my new XZ2 Compact, because I want to copy my complete WhatsApp chat records from my old phone to the new one.

I can copy the WhatsApp directory on my old phone. But I CANNOT paste the directory and the included data onto the XZ2 Compact.

What ist the problem?

Hi @Beaumont;

Supposedly you don't need to do any of that, the Whatsapp automatically backups all your account chatting in your Google Drive account, when you install Whatsapp on your new phone it restores all your data.
