Connection via USB or HDMI?

Apparently the Xperia XZ doesn't support MHL. Is there a way to connect my phone to my HDTV using either a USB or a HDMI cable. 

My TV has an ethernet connection but it doesn't have wifi, unfortunately.

The best way to connect will be with chromecast, at least my opinion.

I haven't got wifi built-in to my TV. Plus I don't want to pay out £30 for Chromecast... 🙄
