After update my phone isn't working. Non stop errors. What does this mean? How do I fix it?
Yes. It did help me! I guess the added feature is not working well.
Been dealing with this bug since the update but thanks to your findings, it solved it. It was annoying after every app update lol but phone is back to normal now. I have the Xz premium dual sim
I have the UK version that I am using in the US in order to get the fingerprint reader. I have the single SIM version. I get the error message only when updating/downloading apps from Play Store. It does not appear to cause any other issues except the annoying message that I can just close. None of the recommended fixes work for me. I upgraded using the Xperia Companion instead of standard OTA. I DO NOT want to do a complete factory reset. I do not have the time for such nonsense. I also do not have a visual voicemail tab that some have mentioned. I am using the stock dialer as my previously chosen one has stopped working completely since the oreo update. Other than those two things....so far....that is the only problems I am having.
I don't know if this is a Sony or a Google problem but this is a Sony phone and they pushed the update so I believe it is up to them to get it fixed ASAP!
Hey all, trying to fix this right now but having trouble finding the "visual voicemail" tab anywhere. I've just performed a factory reset (which like others did not solve the problem) and am running Android 8.0. International unlocked dual-sim.
In the phone app, the tabs are Favorite Contacts > Call History > Contacts > Voicemail. In the voicemail tab, there's nothing I can do and no reference to visual voicemail.
In Settings > Apps & notifications > App info > Phone, I don't see anything for visual voicemail.
Please help?!

i had this problem and i did reset factory more than 4time
I realized that :
just update apps with play store
before installing apps
update chrome and keyboard at first
after this install other apps
I found the visual voicemail...turned it off but I have no Play Store updates available so not sure if it will work.
Here is what I did and how to find the visual voicemail.
Go to settings > Apps & Notifications > App info > Phone > select "Force Stop > then select Storage > then Clear Cache > then Clear Data. Then get out of settings and open phone app > top right corner select three dots > settings > calls > Voicemail > there is the Visual Voicemail toggle....turn it off > then reboot. Hold on to your butts!
Well...I couldn't wait for a Play Store update to show itself so I went ahead and downloaded a couple of apps that I had stored in my "Library" and I DID NOT receive the stupid error message. Will it return when I do an update??? Not sure, but for now this is working for me.
Rom ibe perfect
at first I update Chrome and the keyboard with Polysore
after that i didnt have any problem
and i update my apps without playstore

I finally found it on the dual sim version here:
Phone App > ... > Settings > Calling Accounts > Tap CARD 1 > Voicemail > Turn off Visual Voicemail
