Charging port

Since having my phone over a year I have been having issues with my charging port not working correctly but its getting worse, it doesn't click into place and doesn't charge. I've always been able to get it to charge after some work with the charger but now it just barely ever works unless I'm holding it in myself. Anyone have any suggestions on what I could do?

Do a last test to be certain that it is the port and not the cable.

If it is under warranty contact Xperia Support. (support app on your phone)

Hi @Mdljohnson, sorry to hear about this.

As @Strampke mentioned, trying with another cable is a good way to see if it's the USB connector in the device that is the cause of this or if the cable is defect.

If it doens't work with another cable and you still can't charge the device properly, get in touch with your Local support team and they will arrange a repair for you. Should you have any questions regarding warranty, local service routines and consumer laws, they will gladly assist you with this as well and will be able to provide a more accurate answer than I can, as this varies between regions/markets.
