I have copied some movies from my old mobile to the new one. The new mobile has changed the date of the movie, so the order in the gallery is wrong. On my old Z5 Compact I could manually change the date, but I cant fint that option on my XZ1 Compact. How do I change the date?
How are you?
In my believe, that´s not possible. Just ckeck in my XZ Premium.
I´ll try to get more info on this to give you a clear answer!

I can change the modified date on laptop with BulkFileChanger, but then I copy the movie file back to my XZ1 Compact, it immediately changes the date to today date.
I have even try to zip the file before transfer from laptop to phone. But in the same second I unzip it on the phone, it changes the date to todays date.
I already ask for more help in this matter. Let´s wait
@MichaelDenmark
Just a question: do you have the video on, for example, Google Photos? The video date is correct there?
In the meantime, you can always try the Find and Fix option, on Album app:

I have the videos on my old Z5 Compact phone, where the date is correct.
I have tried to move with usb (first to laptop and then to new phone), sending with gmail, dropbox and with my NAS server. And every time the new phone change the date to todays date.
So i got more info on this:
"The way Android works is that when he transfers a file, it is saved as a new file on his device - and thus the date is the day he made the transfer. This is also the case when simply moving from SD to Internal storage, basically any case where a new file is stored it is stored with the date of the transfer."
So, it´s only possible to change the date of images, by going to
Album > Choose the image you want to change the date of > Menu (3 dots) > Information > Press the pen next to the date.
"This is not possible for videos (and wasn't in Xperia Z5 Compact either)."
I hope that helps!

The weird thing is, that only half of the movies get new motified dates. The other half remains the correct date. But I can not pattern why.
No. Because it's not on any SD card.
Hi @MichaelDenmark;
It is a know issue that when you transfer a file from a PC to a device via USB (MTP) the timestamp is lost, have you tryed transfer the files directly between devices internal storage to see if same thing happens?
