Cannot send and receive MMS on Verizon

I just bought the Xperia XZ2 compact and i'm using it on Verizon. I cannot receive SMS and also cannot send and receive MMS. I have Pixel 2 XL that i'm using on Verizon and when i take the sim card from my Pixel 2 XL and place it into the XZ2 Compact SMS and MMS do not work. LTE works and i can place/receive calls. Factory reseted the phone which didn't help. Tried downloading "internet and MMS settings" which didn't work also. Contacted Verizon and spent few hours with them and we couldn't resolve the issue. Verizons proof that everything is setup right on their end is that my Pixel 2 XL works without issue.

Sony, are you supporting the XZ2 Compact in US? So far i have received zero support from Sony. About to return the phone.

Had the same issue, and the fix was simple for me. After a lot of googling, I learned that I had to toggle HD Voice on that phone line, which you can do on a computer through your myverizon account or by calling their tech support. I'm not authorized on the account, so I had to call in. As soon as the representative turned off HD Voice, my pending texts came in. Just.make sure to toggle it back on afterwards.

I downloaded the verizon texting app and in the settings changed it so I receive all messages when roaming. Video and the other two options and it worked.
