Bluetooth issue after update Nougat Android 7.0

Hi,

after update Android 7.0 my XZ can't connect properly to my car via bluetooth. The telephone connects, but the media connection try to connect contiously but do not reach to connect. I can't use my XZ in the car, because battery runs down very fast due to this bug. Is there a fix? Have anyone the same issue?

Same here. Updated to Nougat 7.0 last Jan 16 and my Z5 no has challenges to connect to teh MMI of my audi: after several attemps it connects for cas but teh media does not connect and I cannot sync the contacts. I reset the BT connection on my phone, no changes. I removed teh phone from teh MMI and reconnect, no change. The media connection goes on and off continuosly.

It is a known bug since last summer!!!! Why releasing  this revision and not teh next one, if teh bug has been addressed?? Easy way toupset customers and ensure they will buy another brand in a few months.

The issue is baked into 7.0 and will only be fixed with 7.1, which begs the question why Sony didn't just skip 7.0

I have the same problem. I have purchased my Sony XZ last week. I stayed with Andriod 6.0 and it works perfectly with my Audi A6 handfree and media connection. I can connect in a few second in and out of the car. A few days later, I have updated to Adniod 7, since then, I cannot connect my car media anymore. I have tried the followings but still cannot resolve the problem:

1) followed the advise by reparing the system using Sony Companian

2) exclude a few services from battery optimization

The only way I cannot connect my media with the phone is to restart the phone while the MMI is on. But I do not accept the fact that I need to do it every single time when I get in my car!

I have no chose but to exchaneg another unit (I did once alreeady). This time I will stay with Andriod 6 until Sony have fixed the problem, which seeminlgy lasted for months.

Magically, the sales rep of Sony also have a XZ running Andriod 7, his phone can connnect to my car handfree and media with no problem. We are having the same system, the only thing is that he got his phone in Aug last year and I've got mine in Jan this year. I wonder if this is a bug in different batch of phone!

I want to use Andriod 7 and it is not fair for us to stay using Andriod 6. This is the problem with Sony as my other iPhone works perfectly with my A6.

7.0 Nougat bluetooth is fubar so wait for 7.1.1, or rollback to 6.1

We cannot roll back to Android. I have the same MDR-100X, it works fine with Apple Music. We have to wait for teh fix to come to us.

Sony admitted that there is a problem on 7.0 http://www.express.co.uk/life-style/science-technology/757738/Android-Nougat-7-0-update-HALTED-Samsu...

As reported "

In a statement the Japanese tech firm (Sony) said: "We were made aware of reports from some users experiencing inconsistencies related to audio playback via third-party apps and SD card encrypted data read performance, after upgrading to Android 7.0, Nougat.

"We’ve identified the root cause and are aiming to provide corrective firmware and re-commence the rollout as soon as possible.”

David try this solution: uninstall facebook.
Really this app is a garbage... and huge battery drainer.

Also, if this is Android bug released by Google, why the **bleep** Google did not hired proper QA team to test their software? Android is having serious problems over and over again which each particular revision. It is so annoying.

I am really considering to switch to other software.
Not other brand but to something that has NO androbug installed.

I am curious about new Surface Phone from Microsoft.
Anyone knows when it will be released?

Thanks for your advice Azzido , but geting rid of facebook is not really a option , that said , i reset phone and trimmed down a few options and im geting a lot better battery life , now i have discovered my headphone jack aint working so have to look into that .
