Bluetooth Connectivity in my Car doesnt stay on or wont connect

I have just bought a xz1. For the first week or so it connected to my car (2016 Volvo V40) with no issues at all for both media & phone. For the last 2 days it either doesnt recognise the phone, takes forever to connect, needs to repair or states 'connection unsuccessful'.

Is there a patch or a known problem here? I can understand why one day all is well the next is isnt.

Help!! I spend too long in my car for this no to work!

Oreo unfortunately has known issues with Bluetooth, at least Pixel and Nexus users reported them back in the beta and despite the October security update which had some fixes included this still persists.

What you can do:

-Deactivate Bluetooth and reactivate it again

-Turn off the Bluetooth device and turn it on again

- Restart the phone normally or in safe mode to troubleshoot

- Set Bluetooth AVRCP to 1.4 or 1.5 in the dev settings (This one helps the most people)

If all else does not help: Wait for a patch Slightly_frowning_Face Slightly_smiling_Face

Thanks Hagren, I'll try this when I go out to my car later & let you know the outcome.

Many thanks,

Hi there, please can you tell me how to set the Bluetooth AVRCP?

Hello!

You go to Settings-->system-->about the phone-->tap on build number around 6 times.

Then you go back, click on 'developer settings', and at 'networks' there's the setting Slightly_smiling_Face
