Badge Notification Counter Stuck

Since the resent update a few (all) app icons have had their notifications badges get stuck on whatever number they had been on during the update.

Reinstalling for example Facebook did nothing, and I found old posts about clearing the cash of a badge provider application but there's no such thing for me to be found in my application list including the systems, though it might be named something different as my operating system is in Swedish or it might just be outdated information, in any case I'm lost.

I had the same problem with the Oreo update. Could not clear the Notification Counter on Whatsapp and Facebook

I cleared the cache of Whatsapp and after rebooting  the counter was cleared

Facebook required a delete data and the counter cleared.on running it had remembered my login details! so it was pain free.

To do this go to Settings>Apps&notifications>App info>App Name>Storage and click the blue buttons.

Sorry dont know the Swedish but you get the idea.
