Backlight control app

I have just updated my Xperia XZ2 compact to android pie, and the backlight control app still crashing. Closing the popup and then it reappear. Any suggestions?

@GHOST2081have you tried disabling Smart backlight control in Settings > Display > Advanced > Smart backlight control and enabling it again?

I experience the same issue on an Xperia XZ Premium after upgrading to Android Pie.

Disabling and re enabling the Smart backlight control doesn't solve the issue.

I do have the same problem with my Xperia Xz P, after upgrading to Pie. 

It only happens during the night, with goodnight action on.

Hello everyone and I'm sorry to hear about this.

You might experience that the Smart backlight control does not work or keeps stopping. This is a known behaviour that will be corrected in a new software release.
