Apps opening automatically after Updating

Any time I have an update for an app in the play store, after updating an app it automatically opens. It's super annoying when I have to update like 10 apps and each one of them opens. I've been experiencing this for a few weeks. I look online for resolutions and I can't seem to find one that works for me. I've cleared the cache on the apps, uninstalled some apps, uninstalled the play store to the factory app and updated it. Even updated the play store it auto opens the apps. Each one of these trial and errors I always restart the device. If I put the phone in safe mode and update an app, it doesn't auto open it. Any ideas on what the issue could be?

If it doesn't happen in safe mode, then one of your 3rd party apps is causing it (not Sony or Google app). If you have any task killers, antiviruses, memory managers, or any other app that might be handling apps then try to uninstall it.

Alternatively, you can perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory. Don't forget to backup using Xperia Companion, but preferably without adding apps or settings to the backup.
