Android Auto - XZ3 Not Detected by the car

I'm having an issue where my car (2018 Skoda Superb) cannot detect my phone anymore.

Plus in my work iphone and carplay works fine. Plug in a firends Samsung and it is detected, so it's not the car and definately the phone that's the problem..

I've removed and reinstalled AA on the phone, and removed the phone from the car memory and reinstalled, still the same problem. 

Anyone else seen this? 

How do I solve this?

Solution is Bluetooth reset.

Either go settings-> Device Connection-Bluetooth and forget your car (tap on the cogwheel)

Or settings -> system->advanced->reset options->reset network settings

Or settings-> apps & notifications-> see all apps ->tap the 3 dots-> tap show system-> scroll to bluetooth->tap storage->clear cache & clear data

Thanks, I'll try that, but to connect to the car it must be via the USB cable, so I'm not sure it's going to be a Bluetooth issue.

When you connect to the car isn't there a warning on your phone's screen which invites you to accept the connection?

I've tried the above suggestions but still nothing.

It used to be that connecting the phone via the cable and then the applicable apps would be available on the car screen. It's not a feature I use very often, so I don't know exactly when it stopped working, but here was an update to the Xperia software, which I think has caused this.

Right, so I've plugged my phone into a colleague's car which is the same as mine, and still have the same problem. Plug in his Huawei phone and it works fine.

So it's definatley a phone issue. 

How do I get in touch with Sony directly to get an answer?
