Android 9.0 Pie is rolling out

G8441 on Three in the UK. No update yet. Also have not received any security patch since 1 September 2018.

If anyone else on Three has received either 9.0 or security updates after September, please post here.

Also me nothing happend. I am living in germany, my phone was bought from english web shop.

I miss a clear official sony state update processes. Unbelivable how dilatante a wourld concern is working.

What is so difficult vor the customer service to post what happend?

Like others on this forum I have had no security updates since 1 September on my sim-free ZX1C.

I asked Sony UK support (UK supplied phone) via chat when Pie update would be available since just about every other country and UK provider versions (EE, O2, Vodafone)  have shipped and they said contact my service prvider .. it is an unlocked sim-free phone that is sim free so my updates come from Sony.

I was also told that Sony only manufactures the phone .. therefore they don't ship any software??
Not the most helpful exchange with Sony chat.
Does anyoine actually have a clue when Pie will be released by Sony for Sony sim-free ZC1 phones or am I just wasting my time dealing with Sony?

I've had exactly the same discussions with Sony as also have an unlocked xz1 compact running on ee sim only.

I wonder if they would respond to our questions quicker if we went to watchdog or the like as currently they seem to have utter contempt for their 'valued customers'

Telefon kupiłem w PL u dystrybutora SONY w listopadzie 2018 . Na początku roku zaktualizował się do Androida 9 Pie aktualizacje bezpieczeństwa przychodzą   co 2 tygodnie. Jestem miło zaskoczony polityką Sony w tej kwestii bo Sg8 małżonki kupiony w grudniu 2017 do tej pory ma Androida 8.

I bought the phone at PL from a SONY distributor in November 2018. At the beginning of the year updated to Android 9 Pie security updates come every 2 weeks. I'm pleasantly surprised by Sony's policy in this matter because the Sg8 spouse bought in December 2017 has Android 8 up to now.
