a small but pretty annoying problem

Can somebody tell my the use of small light under the light sensor?  It sometimes just turn on with dim brightness. It's quite annoying specially in the night.

Hi , I'm not sure but I think  that indicator stay because adaptive brightness are enable . You can try to disable by going to Settings / Display / and uncheck Adaptive Brightness . I sow one guy that has enable that option but you can try it , maybe it will work for you .

That's the proximity sensor.

It uses an IR-led for its functionality, so it's often visible on photos and may be slightly visible to the human eye to some.

I have same problem. I see this red light for few seconds when i wake my phone. Adaptive brightness is off

Hi , once again if that didn't solve your problem you can try to disable with simple app that you can downlload from play store .

You can not disable the proximity sensor with that app.
