A REAL factory data reset

My phone got hacked.

I must have approved some app

They take full control of my XZ3 and I can't use it

I did a factory data reset

But after setting it up it takes like 10 min and all back.

They install a remote software. Change the Support app, and creating a fake Google account.

There must be a cloud setting  The whole thing moved through the sync function of the Chrome browser to my PCs.

Help! !

thank you

Hi @TrainerSK, sorry to hear about this. Slightly_frowning_Face

As @skycamefalling mentioned, a software repair using Xperia Companion goes a bit deeper than a factory reset, as it will completely reinstall the software in your device, however it could also be that your Google account has been hijacked.

Try performing the software repair and wait a bit before adding your Google account again and see if there is any change. If it works fine, add the Google account and see if it fixed all together or if your Google account is the culprit.

Let us know how it goes!

Then I think it's more likely that your google account got hacked because that's where all your data and apps are synced from. After a reset nothing should happen until you add your google account, then the backed up data got synced to your phone.

A real factory reset can be done via the Sony PC Companion with the "Software Repair" option.
