zoom functions

Hi my name is Janice and I've just got my new Z1....I very happy with it

There is one issue that is bugging me....during a text message or whatsapp and whilst typing, if I press any button more than 3 times the text goes into zoom mode....I then can't send the message (as I can't see the send button).  Is there any way to stop this from happen or disable the zoom ????   Help it's driving me nuts!!!
