Z5 premium issues

Hi, hello from cold Norway.

Recently got my z5 premium last saturday. Fantastic performance!

But, theres always a down side isnt it?

My phones struggles to get internett connection after i have left it in stanby for like 5-15 min. It says i have internett connection, both wifi or LTE, known as 4G where i come from. doesn't matter wich of these it stands in, but apps that requries internett says i dont have, like snapchat or instagram for an example.

Also my phones drains battery quickly. goes from 100 to 50 in 3 hours use .dont know if this is normal but since sony says 2 days of use i think its not right. after 50 prosent and under it seems to be okey. Went from a z1 to z5 premium, was really happy with my z1 until i broke its screen.

Also i hope sony will be pushing android 6.0 to all z5 devices soon. And that they fix theese problems, and make all content 4k since android 6.0 supports 4k screens.

 Thanks for reading

Can you check if stamina mode is enabled? About the battery drain, you should wait some more, restart the device regularly as it is new.

Tbh that does not happen with mine, I'd be inclined to perform a factory repair installation using pc companion to fix any issues.
Also note however, that stamina mode will disable mobile connections when the screen is off.

greetings,

your mobile is not catching the wifi nor the 4b because you most probably using stamina mode - extended standby - what it does is when you turn off the screen the wifi and 4g disconnects so when you unlock it will take few seconds or a minute to catch up with the internet connection. it is not issue with the internet it is just how to device behave.

on battery behalf the battery is quite normal to last only 4 hours from 100 to 0 or more or less depending on your usage. first week when i was happy with the device configuring everything on it and trying every app it lasts only 3 hours and 25 minutes which was disappointing of course but now when i reduced the usage to a minimum to none it would last for at least 12 hours a full day almost which is still unacceptable but at least it will get me through the day. howerver,  if you check the below thread there is detialed discussion about the battery life on z5 family model compact, regular, and permium. and there is one there posted his results and it did last for 2 days where mine lasted 12 hours.

Android Marshmallow 6.0 will support 4K screens, but I don't think sony will push its display to be 4K nativley because in that case the battery won't stand even half a day, but I think it will fix the 4K streaming compatibility with sites such as youtube.
