Hello everyone.
I would like to have my z3c inside my bathroom while Im having a bath so I can listen to radio or music.
Since this celphone is labeled as waterproof, I would imagine there isn't going to be a problem. However, as it is a delicate piece of machinery I would rather be catious. Does anyone does this a regular basis and is free of problems? Also, doing this on a daily basis can have an impact on the phones life?
The IP certification holds (8 for water and 6 which is max for dust) :
| 8 | Immersion beyond 1 m | The equipment is suitable for continuous immersion in water under conditions which shall be specified by the manufacturer. However, with certain types of equipment, it can mean that water can enter but only in such a manner that it produces no harmful effects. | Test duration: continuous immersion in water Depth specified by manufacturer, generally up to 3 m |

I think you are safe as long as you still avoid exposing the device directly to warm water for longer periods of time under higher pressure.
I do this everyday and have the app Tunein radio playing however I do not submerge my phone and rest it on a towel on the floor

Thats actually what scares me. The fact that it could get really warm and presurred to the point that the screen no longer holds.
I have used Z1 in the shower, but never under the direct jet stream. Just texting a message or something. Thommo seems to like and do this often :smileysmileythumbsup:

Yes of course. I don't plan to sumerge it, not even in cold water (I'm not the underwater photos kind of guy).
I assume you haven't noticed any problems? Oh and this is going to sound super creepy but trust me, I have my own reasons to ask.
How much time does it takes you to shower? Do you shower with any window open?
Over a year now and no issues but that's with the Z1 and the odd day with the Z Ultra
That is well and truly creepy - I don't have a stopwatch and time myself
I haven't had any issues so far with my Z or Z1, either if I take a long or short shower, just don't take it to a steam room.
