Can I charge Z3 with original note 4 ??
I asked Qualkum on their page on FACEBOOK
they replied :
thanks for the questions. Quick Charge 2.0 devices are compatible with all Quick Charge 2.0 certified chargers. Quick Charge technology does not have an impact on battery life. You can learn more about Quick Charge 2.0
but I want to be sure
Keep us updated.
thanks uliwooly
hope it will be ^_^
sure ,, I sent him a message ,,
I will write here soon
Anytime
Our quick chargers, EP880 and EP881, has a higher amperage (1500mA) which will make your phone charge faster than with a normal charger (which is usually around 1000mA). We do however not use "Quick Charge 1.0" in any of our devices. Our current quick chargers are just chargers with a higher amperage.
Using our quick charger you can charge a Z3 full in 3.15h but note that the quality of the USB-cable and usage of the phone during charging may affect how long the charging takes.
You can use chargers with a higher amperage but it may not affect how long it takes to charge the battery. The amperage tells you how much power the charger can deliver. How much power that's actually used depends on how much the connected device draws from the charger. But you should not connect a charger that has another voltage than what the device is made for.
Dear Sir , Richard :
I'm sorry I didn't get you ,,,
this is my original Z3 charger which comes with Z3 box
http://im69.gulfup.com/bBoJBF.jpg
it's model is EP880
output = 5v - 1500 mA
chatging time : 3 hours and 10 mintues . It's not fast at all but you said it's a quick charge !
I'm afraid that I get lost through your words ,,
Just to know ,,
what my Z3 is supported to qick charge ?? 1.0 ? 2.0 ?
or there is no way ever to charge it faster !
thanks for your help
I really appreciate it
Our quick charger charges the phone quicker than a normal charger but if the charging time can be considered as quick is course a question of definition and how you define quick and fast.
How long it takes to charge a battery also depends on the capacity of the battery. Compared to many other phones, Z3 has a battery with a large capacity (3100mAh minimum) which takes longer to charge than say a 1500mAh battery. Based on this i would personally call 3.15h quick.
But also note that you don't have to charge the battery to 100% every time. You will not damage the battery if you remove the charger before it's fully charged.
D6633 supports neither Quick Charge 1.0 or Quick Charge 2.0 so you can't charge your phone faster using such a charger.
This is really interesting info @alexdon @Thommo
Although the Z3 takes almost 4 hours, yes FOUR HOURS to be fully charged from 0 to 100% BUT it last longer than other flag ship phones.
Kudos Sony
