Can I charge Z3 with original note 4 ??
I asked Qualkum on their page on FACEBOOK
they replied :
thanks for the questions. Quick Charge 2.0 devices are compatible with all Quick Charge 2.0 certified chargers. Quick Charge technology does not have an impact on battery life. You can learn more about Quick Charge 2.0
but I want to be sure
It should not be possible to charge Z3 from 0 to 100% in 40 minutes using EP880.
Hard to say what's causing this but it may perhaps be some sort of issue with the display of battery level so the battery is not really drained when it shows it is or fully charged when it shows it is.
Try holding the yellow button next to the SIM card for a few seconds and then let the phone charge for 4h without starting it and see what happens.
IT CAN DAMAGE YOUR BATTERY AND OVERHEATS THE PHONE
The phone isn't overheating at all.
@Rick It has been 4 hours now and I unplugged it. Also it was showing 100% after I pressed the yellow botton and plugged it into charging(because it was charged before i did the thing you told me to do)). It also was booting over 5 minutes after that... After I get to 30% I'll tell you how the charging is going on. 1 more in the battery usage it always said it was 100% when it said on the screen it was 100% so I don't think it's a problem with screen. Alex said as far as it doesn't get hot it's normal. I'm not sure if I should contact sony because In one way I like how it charges so fast because I can see it charging in my eyes 20%... 21% ect.. But I don't want to buy a new phone in a few months.
Just my 'pennies worth' regarding all these posts about trying different chargers to gain faster times etc.....there is obviously a reason why the particular Sony Charger has been issued with whatever model of phone you have bought, you should really stick with the charger that was issued......who knows without lots of testing what a different charger will do over time to your battery....it may decrease the overall lifespan of your battery or even worse.....eventually i am sure the faster chargers & charging times will appear but for the time being just be patient with the whole charging time :smileysmileythumbsup:
As i mentioned just my opinion :smileysmileywink:
I can't say for sure but i suspect there's an issue with the battery calibration in your phone which means that the phone tells you the battery level is low when it's not or that it shows 100% and stops charging before the battery is full. EP880 can provide 7.5W so it's not possible to charge the battery that fast with it.
In case the issue still remains i recommend that you also perform a software repair using PC Companion. That should fix the issue if it's the battery calibration.
