Z3 vs Z3+

Been comparing them lately and is it just my phone but I feel like that the adaptive Brightness on the Z3+ had a bit of a lag on it when compared to the Z3 also the Z3+ seems to run dimmer then the Z3.

Anyone else have any issues coming from the Z3?

I'm not overly impressed, particularly as the Z3+ costs almost £200 more than a Z3.

My main concerns are;

1. The Z3+ seems far more laggy than its predecessor

2. It has far more "stalls" - that is you click an app and nothing happens on occasions for a second or so

3. Overheating particularly when video recording

4. Adaptive Brightness levels far too low particularly outside 

5. No docking facility

Also in the 6 weeks that I've had the Z3+ it has locked up completely, something I never experienced in the Z3.

Battery life seems very little different.

Overall I preferred my Z3 (a brilliant phone in my opinion) and wouldn't buy a Z3+ again even if the price was the same - certainly wouldn't pay £200 more again.

I agree I picked up one due to a slight situation with my Z3 and I was intrigued that's for sure. I really believe that the Z3+ had capabilities to be a great phone just as the Z3 is. I just feel that they didn't take the time right off the bat to tighten up their work firmware wise. Hardware specs dont lie its faster and I really like the 32gb space and no more flap for the mirco USB. But I do agree with your points that's for sure.

I recently sent mine back to the retailer for a exchange because it was glitchy should be getting it back on Tues. Will definitely update post afterwards hopefully with some good news.

I was going to buy myself a brand new Z3+ but after reading all this posts regarding overheating i just thing I'll only waste my money, may not care much about some other issues like less battery life etc form this mobile but the overheating cause just by browsing and not being able to fully use the camera makes me wonder. I currently own a Z3 but Iwas expecting to have more speed with the 810, better front camera etc but seems not.

and i really love th enew desing

please advise should I go for it? is this overheating in all 100% of the z3+ or just old batches is there going to be a repair patch coming soon to solve this overheating??

Hi there. I'm looking to buy my new Z phone this week, 

I have seen the differences between the Z3 & the Z3 plus. I know they are equally very good phones as i had a Z1 and Z2 in the past. But what disturbs me is the overheating issues of the Z3+ Plus.

Is the overheating issue overblown out of proportion? Is the problem real even in normal usage (such as taking normal photos in normal conditions). 

Or the Z3 would suffice as a daily driver as improvements are somehwat incrmental to the Z3+?

Please advice. Thanks.

Hello fellow Sony users, my Z is long gone it broke so its time to get a new sony xperia i decided that a Z3 is the perfect replacement, HUGE battery life almost double the battery life of the xperia Z, 0.5mm thinner than the xperia Z, so is it worth getting it? or should i get something else?

I've had the Z3 which was great on the whole. The Z3+ however is awful! Looks like the Z5 has the same overheating and lag issues as the Z3+.

Would love to go back to my Z3!

When I got the phone right off the start of was terrible, slow, running hot I thought I made a huge mistake going to the z3+ but then I did the firmware update and it solves all my issues. Now it runs fast, smooth I can't overload it as for the overheating I only had it happen once and that was in direct sunlight after sitting for a while and I tried to record. Past that no issues. Doing anything normal, browsing the web, watching video at 1080 , copying files, making phone calls, things like that not one issue in not a gamer so no idea about running games.

It raises in temp as all phones do but only seen one message in all the time I had it. My lady still has the z3 and I grab it occasionally and only thing I notice is that the z3 is brighter in most situations but that is not a concern of mine. Past that mind is as beast and I love it.

The overheating issues have been blown out of proportion honestly I look my z3+ and with the firmware update it did wonders. The Z5 premium is looking great tooo can't wait to test that one out. But I'm lil iffy only because speed wise but the bigger screen and new cam sound good to me, we see I'm not rushing to get rid of mine that's for sure
