Z3 Sleep of Death - NOTHING is working

Hello all,

I've done a bit of digging to try to solve my problem, and none of the suggestions have helped. My exact situation seems slightly different as well...

My Z3 died in my pocket today. Would have had plenty of battery life, was not exposed to water.

Black screen of death.

Holding power does nothing.

Holding power and up volume produces a series of 3 vibrations a few seconds apart, but that's all.

No LED light whatsoever when on the charger.

Yellow reset button in the SIM card slot produces a single burst of 3 vibrations and no more.

Sony Bridge for Mac gets me to the step where you unpug the phone, hold down volume and plug it back into the USB. Nothing happens beyond here and the repair program will not proceed.

I will see if leaving it on the charger overnight helps, but I doubt it will... I think I need to make a warranty return

Any other ideas??

Unfortunately I don't think that there is much else to do but send the phone in to a service center for repair. Contact your local Xperia support for more information on service centers close to you. See my signature for contact information.

this is exacally what happened to mine. went to bed with it on charge, woke up to nothing!!

i have tired all of the above with the same result. the only problem with mine is i cracked the rear glass months ago and i know sony will want to blame this issue on that when i send it back
