Z3 hml to hdmi streaming issues

my z3 is connected to my Samsung tv via a hml to hdmi/usb cable and displays the screen no trouble.
It shows Internet pages no trouble too but when it comes to playback of movies, YouTube, streaming video over the wifi it is virtually impossible to watch due to it taking an age to load, playback the movie.
On disconnecting the cable normal Internet speed resumes and videos steam without lag.
Any ideas on why this would be happening???
Is it phone settings or tv or wifi?

I would say WiFi issues

Well that's comforting I suppose and a relatively easy fix - just off that it is only affected when the z3 is connected - disconnected and it works fine...?

Simple test, try to play a youtube video w/o connecting your phone to your TV, does it work w/o any lag? 

also, you can download speedtest and check your wifi and/or data

Cheers fella - no lag to report when not connected but really bad when connected? Bit of a mystery
