Hi Im hoping someone will be able to help me - i was having a few issues with the screen sensitivity - i seem to have a strip where its unresponsive and above and below this strip its extra sensitive! Anyway this morning it got a little damp in the rain (supposed to be waterproof right!) i dont mean soaking wet through just a few rainspots on the screen - now its completely unresponsive across the bottom part of the screen - i was going to boot into safe mode and see how it was but i cant press the cancel or ok to actually do the safe boot because its in that part of the screen thats unresponsive! I dont particularly want to do a factory reset to see if that solves it but i will if i have to - can anyone advise on what i should do?? Many thanks
Will that cost? Im really starting to lose my temper with it now:smileyhappy:
OK so ive found what the problem is - the left hand corner of the screen actually lifts up from the rest of the phone - how thats happened i really dont know because ive always kept it in a case - i only took it out of its case to see if it would work any better and found that out! Not quite sure what to do next - is it worth me trying to repair - the warranty on it is invalid because ive removed the charger port cover (!!) as ive tried to get this sensitivity issue sorted before or is it a case of sending it away to be fixed. Thanks
If your phone is under warranty it'll be good to contact your Local support if it's not, you could repair it yourself, it'll be cheaper.
Thanks @uliwooly - sorry to be a pain but is it fairly easy to repair - im not a techi (cant you tell lol) but the phone isnt under warranty as the charging port cover has come off so they wont cover it (well thats what vodafone told me) i have emailed sony today but havent had a reply back - thanks for your help so far
