Z3 Compact root or not?

I would like to root my Z3 Compact.
But only question i have is that 'is it harmfull to my battery life'.
Rooting will decrease my battery life or not?

Rooting will not hurt your battery but it will hurt your warranty and you will loose your DRM keys thus loose Sony features

i have done it now . But wi-fi is out of order

Probably a corrupt kernel or a kernel that was pre-rooted but has issues

I'm planning to root my Z3 Compact as well, but the only available computer I have is Mac. Is there any toolkit or something for rooting Z3 Compact?
