Hi,
Yesterday I had a few beers and on the way home it started raining really heavy. When I woke up today I hought my phone was out of battery, but it doesnt charge.
When I connect the charger, it blinks red and vibrates in cycles of 3 constantly. Charged it for 1 hour and nothing happened. Same goes if I connect it to my computer. If I try to turn it on, it vibrates 1 time and then 3 times, and thats it. Nothing on the screen. Tried to google it, and it seems that its water damage?
Problem is I cant use the warranty, because I had a crack in the back and had an unofficial repair on it. I'm a poor student, and only had the phone for 4 months, so I really dont want to buy a new one.
Im considering trying to change the battery myself before I have to buy a new phone... Do you guys think it will work with a new battery? I've tried everything else like holdin down the button for 20 sec + etc
So sad right now : (
I'm going to hazard a guess and say the 3 vibrations means your phone has internal damage as those vibrations and especially 3 means it's been forced to shut down - you could try drying it out but applying power could if it hasn't already short your device
Okey, do you think it might work to change the battery?
I don't think there's a guarantee for this, if your phone really got a short inside it could be anywhere, even on the motherboard. Just let it dry completely for a couple of days and check again before jumping to changing parts.
Wow, it actually works again. Guess the battery was very low. Weird about the constant vibrations, tho
Could you explain what u did exacly? My phone was water damaged too and I've tried put it in rice for a couple a days and nothing... It still doing those 3 vibrations... I tried let it dry by itself and already past 6 month (xDDDD) but it still with the same issue...
