Z3 Compact (double tap & other issues)

Hi,

my Z3 Compact has been updated last week to Android 5.1.1 Build #23.4.A.1.200

Since the updated I have the following issues:

1) The double tap to wake up seems to not work consistently. I have noticed that if I manually turn off the screen (by lightly pressing the power button) then it will not wake up on double tap. If I allow the phone to shut down the screen automatically at the preset time, then sometimes the doulbe tap to wak the screen works. I stress, sometimes! It's random.

2) Additionally, ever since the update, the three on screen buttons, the "Back" button, the "Home" button and the "Recents" button freeze. I will tap many times on them without any result. There are times when all of them are frozen, and times when either 1 or 2 are frozen. The issue is random, and it's not app dependent. I say this because it can happen even immediately after ulocking the screen, or if I flip to any pages on the home screen.

Please help.

If a solution is not readily available, is there a way to revert to the previous built?

I did not have these problems prior to the update last week.

Thanks.

Perform a software repair using PC Companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 80% battery.

Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).

Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).
