Z3 Compact died after going in the pool!

Hi folks, I've had my Z3 Compact for exactly one week now. It's been a fantastic little device that I would have recommended to anyone. Not anymore. Yesterday I took it in the pool for the first time. I double and triple checked that the port covers were firmly closed and carefully went underwater to take some pictures of the kids. It was never underwater more than 1 or 2 feet. 

It died in less than 5 minutes. I watched it happening. The screen started flickering on and off, then the buttons stopped working, and now it won't turn on at all. When I got out of the pool and dried it off, I checked under the port covers and sure enough, the lower one where the SIM card goes had visible moisture inside. 

I'm seriously mad...this phone was advertised as being waterproof down to 1.5 meters. Sony's own homepage shows pictures of people swimming with it. And yet mine got water damaged in 1 foot of water after 5 minutes. This is completely unacceptable. I've contacted Sony support as well as the website wher I bought it (Handtec UK). Somebody IS going to replace this or I'll raise **bleep**. I didn't pay $500 for a waterproof phone just to have it die in the water!

So beware, fellow Z3c owners. Your phone may not be as waterproof as you were lead to believe.

I did the test:

first, the pressure was continuously changing(with 0.03 Millibar), but around 962.3

exactly when i started to push the screen it rised with 1,2,3 or even 4 Millibars

BUT, I didn't stop pressing the screen(pressure was the same, not higher not lower) and the pressure got back to normal.

after taking my finger off, it drops like 3 Millibars, and than come back to normal.
p.s. after doing this a few times, the pressure was 962.18 instead of 962.3(without touching)

What sould I understand from this?

i repeat, first time i test it in water (february), it work normally. In august it fault!

Now a new story is started!

i go to OFFICIAL local sony centre. technician say "i will check what's the problem". after 5 days he call me and say, i've opened your mobile and checked the problem, talked with national sony centre and the response is that no warrantie cover. so you must change the display.

Sadly i say, ok.

after 10 day i read on local newspaper that the local sony centre was in trouble with law, the owner is vanished. fortunatly i take my mobile. it was opened, damaged and without any reparation.

i call official sony centre, after a lot of call they say "excuse us", please send us your mobile via another centre (35km from my home).

stay tuned for sony answer! it will reflect if sony is serious or ridiculus..........
