Z3 black screen when calling

Can someone help me for the past week when i make calls my screen stays black i cant end the call the other person has to,i press the on/off button and still nothing for about 5 mins i have even put my phone back to factory settings and tried the proximity test and still nothing any one got any advise on how to solve the very annoying problem

Does your phone has a protective case and/or film and/or glass ?

Settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test the proximity sensor

Tried what you said all the tests past.There is no protective covers/films etc. Other than the call issue phone is working completly fine

I have to really press on the proximity sensor to stop the vibrating in the test

Ive dialled the number everyone says and the proximity sensor stays on when i wave my hand over it i had to press it to turn it off

I have the same problem when making or receiving calls. This started happening when I updated to latest software version. I have a Xperia Z3. I can't enter any dtmf tones when I call a service number. This is a software bug. When are Sony going to fix it?

This also happened around the same time ive found a short term fix especially when you need to use the dial pad. When you first make a call press where the proximity sensor is and the light stays on not ideal also changed sleep mode to 30mins when i make calls

Yes sony support are seeing if its a software problem.Not an ideal fix but at least i have a phone that is working. Thanks for all the help and will let you know what sony say and how to fix it permenatly
