Z3 application's not working unless on wifi

I have just upgraded from a Z2 to a Z3 and a couple of applications that previously worked fine on my Z2 won't work unless connected to wifi such as viber and voxer and snapchat notifications only coming through when I connect to wifi even though snapchat is working fine.... Please help me as I use these applications alot and want to enjoy my new phone

Maybe you accidently enabled "Restrict Background Data?

Try this

Go to Settings > Data Usage > Press the "Three Dots" on the upper right corner >Untick "Restrict Background Data" .Then restart phone.

Also,don't forget to add your apps to Stamina Mode's White List(that enables you to receive notification of specific apps you added into white list even your phone is asleep)

Just checked restrict background data and it is not ticked, thank you for trying to help but my problem is still ongoing Slightly_frowning_Face

You could do this.But make sure you make a backup on your app's data.

Go to Settings > Apps > Swipe to the left twice until you reach "All" section of apps > Locate and click your preferred apps and clear data for them.Then restart.

WARNINGGG it will erase all your chats etc ..
So make sure you have a backup..

if nothing works you could either uninstall - reinstall the apps or use Sony PC Companion to repair the phone.

I have uninstall the apps and reinstalled and even sort advice from app providers and tryed to fix through them with various links and versions of the apps but to this point have had no joy and the fact that I have had no problems with my previous Xperia phs has made me think it is some settings or software within the Z3.... Has anyone else got the apps viber or voxer on there Z3 and it is working fine out of wifi?? Or would anyone be willing to try the apps to see if they work as I don't know anyone else with a Z3?

Try using Sony PC Companion to repair your phone as suggested, that could solve your issues. Also, the Stamina Mode is it on or not on?

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Have you tried performing a settings download, it could possibly be the wrong settings Internet wise.

Menu > Settings > More > Internet Settings > Accept disclaimer > Choose network carrier.

Once done try using the apps.

I have had the same problem and just fixed it by going, settings > apps then go up to the three dots in the top left corner, then reset app preferences, this does not cause any loss of data. Problem should be resolved.
