Z2 lock screen notification recent update issue

I recently updated my phone which I had been putting off for over a year because I didn't like the look of it...  I had to because my phone was running slow even after dumping my data onto my computer...  I am very annoyed with the current set up with notifications. Is there a way to make the lock screen like the old way where it will show only a small icon in the top status bar instead of the long message notify. On the middle of the screen. Also having it set up that I have to swipe the screen to get to the unlock pattern screen makes it take longer to unlock my phone..     Any solutions??

This is the new looks for Lollipop I guess you're talking about, and unfortunately there's no way to get the old Kitkat looks unless you downgrade your phone software back to Kitkat (as far as I know).

It's Android design, all manufacturers including Sony have to follow it.

Mm that may be but with Samsung you can still choose whether you want to go straight to lock screen or that interim screen then swioe to lock screen when you click your power button ...

Sony its quite close to vanilla android found on nexus devices, you can always use a third party lock screen.
