Z2 camera features

Before I had a Z2 I had an iPhone and taking pics was really easy. I could tap somewhere on the screen to focus in a particular area. Also when taking pictures outside with shadows and lights, say for example a mountain with a sunny but cloudy sky behind it, I could tap the shadowed area of the mountain and the camera would adjust the light so I could see the detail on the mountain. I could also tap the light sky and the camera would adjust the light so I could see the colours of the sky with the clouds etc.

On the Z2 tapping the screen does something but I'm not sure what. I thought it was just an iPhone feature but today I was asked to take a photo of someone on their android phone and it worked the same way as the iPhone.

Is there a way to get the Z2 to behave the same or do we have to rely on touch up programmes to fix the photos afterwards?

Yeah I saw those settings although it's not as intuitive as other phones. Oh well

Normally tapping the screen focuses the tapped point! If you wanna capture the photo at the same time, there's no need of changing to manual mode just trigger the setting "Touch Capture"!!

Superior Auto is also supposed to do the hard part for you!! And it does!

The Google Camera is great. Simple interface and of course the Photosphere setting which can be a lot of fun. It also has a better implementation of the background defocus effect. I use it on my Z2.

It's free on Google Play.

Only negative is that I've not found a way to link the shutter button to another app on the Z2.
