Z2 Calendar app - deleting single appointments in a series

Hello,

I received my new Xperia Z2 Black smartphone in April and am very satisfied with the unit. One thing though is quite annoying, and that is an apparent fault in the Calendar app.

When I have established a serial appointment and later would like to cancel a single appointment, this doesn't seem to be possible. When choosing "Delete", the choice is either "Delete whole series" or "Cancel". I guess this is fault caused by a software problem, or is it caused by a setting I have ignored?

the single appointments did you set them all together or individually cos i delete my appointmens and don't affect the rest .

Initially I did set up a number of serial appointments, for instance regular appointments each Tuesday and Wednesday. From time to time single appointments are being cancelled. When I try to delete a single appointment within such a series I get the question "Delete event?", but only one alternative for an answer: "All events?". All other calendar apps I have used also gives the alternative: "Only this event."

The missing "single event deletion" is what I'm looking for. 🙂

i click on a specific event and the delete appears top right corner .i think it's because you entered the event as a series thats why it wants to delete whole series

Ok. But when you have a weekly returning event a year long, it's no good solution to create 52 events for 52 consecutive weeks. Hence the common solution to create a series of events. But unlike all other calendars apps, the current app with Xperia Z2 doesn't allow deletion of a single event within such a series (single event cancelled due to sickness, other plans etc).

I don't think this is "a feature" with this Z2/ Android 4.4.2 app version, so it must be a software fault!?

Hi. No, there is still no solution to this fault. Meanwhile I have switched to Xperia Z5 (Android 5.1.1, build 32.0.A.6.200), but the fault is even on this model.

When trying to edit or delete a single instance in a series, the only option appears to be "Delete the whole series". Wonder if Sony would like to have a look at this problem ...?
